The petals of the American Legion Auxiliary Poppy are made of paper bound together for veterans by veterans, reminding America each year that the men and women who have served and died for their country deserve to be remembered. They also provide financial and therapeutic benefits to those hospitalized and disabled veterans, who construct them, as well as benefiting veterans and their families who are in need through donations generated by the distribution of the poppies..
The Unit will distribute Poppies from 10am to 3pm, May 19 and 20, 2017 at Fry’s Food Store, 10450 N. La Canada Dr., Oro Valley; and 10am to 3pm, May 26, 27, and 28, 2017, at Fry’s Food Store, 10661 N. Oracle Rd., Oro Valley.
Please stop by and make a donation, if you wish, or send a donation of any amount to the ALA Oro Valley Unit 132, PO Box 69246, Oro Valley, AZ 85737. 100% of all donations go to assisting our local veterans!
